The second that happened I remembered watching two students jump over the fence onto the field at Legion Field in 1990 after Bama broke the 4 game streak… they got all of 2 feet onto the sideline (understand, there’s about 20 feet of sideline at LF, so they weren’t close to the playing field) before the Birmingham police were attacking them with dogs and night sticks.

I’m surprised PETA hasn’t filed a complaint for the shameless exploitation of the dog in question. Perhaps they could stage a protest outside of Auburn’s next home football game. POLICE REPORT: Nick Saban’s Home ‘egged’
Tuscaloosa Police reported that an individual attempted to “egg” Coach Nick Saban’s home last night.
The report stated:
An empty egg carton was recovered at the scene. Two eggs hit Coach Saban’s house, 3 eggs went over his house and hit his neighbor’s back door, 2 eggs hit the houses of each of his next door neighbors, and the remaining 3 eggs were found broken on the ground near the carton from where the individual threw them. I agree that dogs are unneeded to prevent field rushing. The 500 security guards are enough. Despite the theory of “if enough of us go out there, they can’t get us all” no one is willing to take the risk of being the fist one out only to have everyone else abort and leave you to spend the night in the poky.
