Tommy Bowden, out at Clemson: film at eleven, etc, but TigerIllustrated is reporting it like it’s done, meaning they must have resolved the issue of his $4 million dollar buyout. Dabo Swinney would be the interim coach in the meantime, and with a name like that, you are always the interim coach, and never the coach.
The fail is up to here, which means I’m fired.
Update: This is, according to Joe Schad, the text Cullen Harper sent him:
I just found out. It’s what he deserves. Dabo Swinney is good man who will do a good job.”
Knives out, Cullen. Knives out! The Tommy Bowden Death Index has been appropriately updated, but damn, damn, damn: this doesn’t seem to be difficult for anyone at Clemson, does it? Also, if you want a particular blogspot address it should be available shortly.

What #45 said. Clemson’s legacy in CFB is perpetually overrated. As is their position in the ACC pecking order.
Meanwhile, I wonder how Jon Richt is feeling right about now?

I guess they could stumble onto a coach who turns them into a perennial ACC contenders, but this is Clemson we’re talking about. Their only sustained period of success involved massive amounts of cheating. There are worse things than going 9-4 every year.

Tommy’s forearms are incredibly hairy. This had to have contributed to his demise.
TB, Fulmer and TT may all get together at the end of this season and go on vacation with thieir combined $16M worth of buy out money.

#6: The term in the ACC is “Grobed”. The history books will reflect this as follows:
In the ACC, both Bowden coaches, Junior and Senior, made famous the annual overhyped match up known as the Bowden Bowl. Ironically, both coaches were eventually Grobed of their jobs, although Senior was allowed to remain as figure head until [Joe Paterno died/he died]*.

The laughing just emphasizes the meltdown at Clemmons. A school that should have fired him years ago when it was only 2.5M, whose fans have been calling for his head every time they lose. A school who measures his success by beating a mediocre Carolina team, as opposed to his success in winning a mediocre ACC division.
