Not being from Alabama, I’m curious as to how the whole Bamma-Barner thing got started. “Bammer” I would guess is a bastardized and abbreviated version of “Alabama” in that folks around there probably pronounce it “Alerbamer.” But “barner”? Are people around Auburn that much more hick than those in Birmingham? Curious minds - maybe just me - wanna know.
