Karl Benson had the kind of conference you hoped the head of a conference that just fell beneath the eight teams* required to properly exist would have, calling the departures of Fresno State and Nevada "selfish," saying he has "no idea" what BYU was going to do, and demanding this: "The resolution is very clear that it's a $5 million penalty and the WAC will expect $5 million payments from both Nevada and Fresno State within 60 days." ...OR ROCCO AND MOOSE ARE GONNA SEE IF THEY CAN LOOSEN UP THE JUDGE'S WALLET. No one on the call asked this question, but it may be assumed that Benson did the entire thing pantsless and from the friendly confines of Turfman's Scotchbucket Studios ("Helping clients have candid, relaxed interactions with the public for 107 years.") *It's six for basketball, but eight for football?
