The SEC should do nothing. I am rapidly coming to the conclusion that all of the smoke and mirrors coming out of the Big 10 is nothing more than positioning and kabuki designed to lure in ND by de-stabilizing the Big East . Why a group of respected public universities feels like it needs to run some academic equivalent of a CIA black ops campaign against other universities is a question that no one seems to want to address. It is at a minimum unseemly and, in actuality, insane for these publicly funded universities to be trying to cut each other's throats. The SEC is fine as is (though I wouldn't mind seing Arkie go home). If Delaney is stupid enough to take the Big 10 to 14 or 16 teams, then the SEC should just stand by and watch it fail. The logistics alone of sending your lacrosse, tennis and bowling teams from East Orange, New Jersey to Lincoln, Nebraska are mind-boggling. It is as if the previous chairman of GM somehow has begun to inhabit the brain of the Big 10 commisioner.
