I am on the horns of a dilemma, and I throw myself on the mercy of the collective wisdom of the group.

October 23 is a bye week for my beloved Michigan Wolverines. I have to be in Cleveland for a firm function on Friday night. October 23 is also the Fall Michigan Beer Festival, back in this area. Yet, I have been invited to go see WVU play Syracuse, and to tailgate with my reprobate family, all huge WVU fans. What should I choose? Data points to consider- I've never been to a WVU tailgate. Also, it's about 6 hours back from Morgantown to Detroit, so that blows out Sunday, also. Help me decide how best to destroy my liver.
