It’s been a tumultuous and unsettling week, in college football and in the world at large. Some people - like, let’s say, the Ohio State Buckeyes’ social media team - have done some stupid things.
Let’s take a moment for ourselves this morning, and listen to the most soothing sound in the world: 15 minutes of Keith Jackson calling the #2 Nittany Lions’ win over then-#7 Ohio State in 1997, a game whose potential national title implications were every bit as high-stakes as this Saturday’s game in Happy Valley. (Ultimately it would not matter, because the 1997 national title was awarded, as we all know, to Nebraska.)
Ahh, see, that’s nice.
“Hey!”, you say. “What if I’m an Ohio State fan?! This isn’t soothing at all!”
[sighs] FINE.
Happy Friday. Take care of yourselves, and each other.
