Magnum, P.I. and Designing Women are probably the two most important television shows to the editorial staff (stop laughing please) of EDSBS. They ran for 162 and 163 episodes, respectively, and taught us the value of friendship, excellent hair, and access to helicopters.

Wings ran for 172 because Tim Daly is one of America’s most uncelebrated talents. He has played Dr. Richard Kimble. He has voiced Superman. He has played an astronaut. He carried this Extremely 1995 HBO movie.

But, most of all, Tim Daly is Joe Hackett, pilot and proprietor of Sandpiper Air.

Happy birthday, Tim Daly. We know Tyne gets all the attention with her Emmys and Tony, but today is YOUR day, dammit.
