Hi, it’s Signing Day. Traditionally we just put up an open thread, turn on the ESPNU live show, and wait for Bud and Ryan and company to join in with the SB Nation live show.

That’s what we’re going to do, but two things before we do.

Both of those numbers are immense, but we know a lot of you were waiting for payday to make a donation. AND LOOK AT THAT, MANY OF YOU WERE PAID TODAY. Second, this is Joe Spivak, a defensive tackle prospect out of Lombard, Illinois who shunned a scholarship offer from Michigan State to walk on at Northwestern. This is all we know about him on paper, but the picture says more than any bio could. The future, dark as it may seem right now, belongs to the Joe Spivaks of the world.
