EDSBS CHARITY BOWL FINAL: MICHIGAN WINS SECOND BLOWOUT BOWL GAME OF 2016

The EDSBS Charity Bowl hummed away quietly over the weekend. But really, think of Saturday and Sunday as running out the clock on what was at least the third EDSBS Charity Bowl win in a row for the Michigan Wolverines, our most charitable college football fanbase by a wide, wide margin.

Before we get to the details, here's some background music for you, you lovable sadists.

Michigan had 168 donors total who chipped in a whopping $16,292.91 toward New American Pathways' work in the refugee communities of Atlanta. In other words, one out of every three donors was a Wolverine, and this website is now a subsidiary website of MGoBlog. Now no one can ever be wrong about math here, ever. That's a new rule and we're just going to have to live and die by it now.

HAIL. TO. THE. VICTORS.

All that Maize and Blue generosity and everyone else adds up to a massive $48,520.25 in total donations. (That twenty-five cents matters, dammit.) That total more than exceeds our goal of $40,000, and with that comes the usual award of "something outlandish we have to do with a Michigan theme." Based on last year this should only take about eleven months to honor, so there's ample time to figure out what that would be in the comments below.

We would point out that Stanford has the coolest donation total objectively, since $666 is almost exactly what the Stanford band would give. We say "almost" because that number in real life would be $666.69, which they came oh, oh so close to nailing.
