Welcome to the another edition of LET US DELIGHT IN, a weekly feature in which we, well, delight in the performance of a particular football player from the previous weekend. This week, we are delighting in the performance of LSU running back Leonard Fournette.
19 carries, 228 yards, three touchdowns. We all saw Leonard Fournette put Auburn into a shallow grave on the side of the highway on Saturday, but let's recap quickly anyway, shall we?
Ah, let's start with the first play from scrimmage, a 71-yard touchdown run right up the damn gut.
And now, a collection of Auburn defenders making the idiotic mistake of getting in Fournette's way. My God, you noble idiots.
Fournette's performance is enough to stand on its own as A Very Good Thing, but just to put that extra frosting on top, let's check in on Rudy Ford, the Auburn defender that said stopping Fournette "shouldn't be that difficult."
Why yes, he is the circled player who, smartly some would argue, decides that trying to tackle Mr. Fournette simply wasn't in his best interest on this play. Oh, honey.
