Welcome to the EDSBS Auburn Video Board Construction Live Blog! We'll be checking in on the construction of Auburn's brand new video board, which promises to be the largest of its kind in college football. Our observations will be date and time-stamped so future generations can relive this historic moment. Here we go!
June 15, 1:45 PM EST: It's our first look at the construction webcam! I'd estimate about a fifth of the screen has been put into place, though the full skeleton upon which the screen sits is already assembled. Auburn started this broadcast on March 17, so we're about three months into the project. Would you say they're behind schedule or ahead of it? Let us know in the comments!
June 15, 1:50 PM EST: Wow, we just broke 100 people watching this livestream at once! That's pretty impressive, considering that nothing is happening right now. No construction workers carrying around building materials, no heavy machinery positioning portions of screen. Have to imagine it's lunch break time, though they're not even having lunch in the stands. Where do you think they're eating lunch right now? Hit the comments and let us know!
June 15, 2:04 PM EST: Movement! Some workers have returned to the site, and one of them has started to climb a stepladder. God, I really wish they had thought to mic them up. It would really help the viewers better understand the process of constructing a behemoth video board, and I bet we'd get some interesting thoughts about Auburn football, as well. What if there's a Bama spy in their midst! Discuss this speculative intrigue in the comments!
June 15, 2:12 PM EST: DAMMIT I WENT TO THE BATHROOM FOR LIKE TWO MINUTES AND WHEN I COME BACK EVERYONE HAS LEFT AGAIN DID THEY HIRE A BUNCH OF ITALIAN RAILWAY CONDUCTORS TO DO THIS JOB? Let us know what your favorite Italian train station is in the comments!
June 15, 2:15 PM EST: False alarm, they're back working up in the metal skeleton. Say, wouldn't it be something if Auburn were secretly constructing a giant death cyborg and using the "college football's biggest video board" as a cover, both financially and as a matter of public awareness? Pop in the comments and let us know how we should kill it once and for all!
June 15, 2:17 PM EST: Well, that's all for this edition of the Auburn Video Board Live Stream Live Blog! Join us next time!
