SHUTDOWN FULLCAST PRESENTS 40 FOR 40: THE CURE BOWL

The Cure Bowl may have the highest "validate your existence" quotient of any bowl game on the calendar-- like, at least the Bahamas Bowl is a tropical anomaly sponsored by the greatest fried chicken joint in the world-- but there's positives to mention.

Like:

• The preponderance of chain restaurants for those who find that kind of thing comforting (like you, stop lying, we saw you eating at Chili's the other day and it was DELICIOUS)
• It's where Georgia State, once dead in the water with a 2-6 record, suddenly flew off the mat like the Big Boss himself and reclaimed not only a legit bowl berth, but beat the daylights out of Georgia Southern IN Statesboro
• It's also where San Jose State is, and they're real happy to just be there thanks to good grades and not their 5-7 record.
• It's a city so fabulous it caused me to get an entire team's schedule wrong!
