OPEN THREAD, THIRD SHIFT

GODDAMN, TCU

Rob Ferguson-USA TODAY Sports

TCU, you trailed for all but roughly four minutes of this game. You gave up touchdown plays of 50, 74, and 82 yards. Oklahoma State was beating you by five points after one quarter, 19 points after two, 26 after three. (You only lost by twenty, so, good job, I guess?) Having only turned the ball over seven times all season, never more than twice in any single game, you threw four picks. Coming in with a streak of at least 40 points scored in your last seven games, you were held to 29.

What now, TCU? You still have Oklahoma and Baylor, but we just started the Big 12's November of Destruction and Pain and you already need help to get into the Playoff. You lost Josh Doctson in the first half, which means you may have to play those aforementioned games without the receiver who, before today, had more receiving yards for the Horned Frogs than your number two, three, four, and five receiving leaders combined.

Let's see how Gary Patterson feels about this.

Hard to argue with that.
