Coming into today, Boston College had punted 85 times in 11 games. In that same span, the Eagles completed 109 passes. With one game left, it was a virtual impossibility for BC's punt unit to catch its quarterbacks - but how close would they get?
Syracuse (who won this game, naturally) was only forcing 4.5 punts per game before this, so that's a pretty solid effort, even if it's clearly not enough to catch the completion number. But surely the Eagles would feast on a Cuse defense that's allowed 250 catches this year and ranks 122nd in opponent completion percentage, right?
That's DUDE as hell right there. BC's final 2015 tally: 110 completions, 92 punts.
