THE MORNING CONSTITUTIONAL IS READY TO LISTEN

Something happened this morning with Joker Phillips.

Phillips later deleted all these tweets and said it was the result of clicking a link from an ex-player that "downloaded a virus." That may be a literal truth in terms of how Joker Phillips wound up tweeting seven links to a supposed fat-burning weight loss solution. It does not, however, address the why.

What made you click that virus-laden link in the first place, Joker? When you look in the mirror, what is it that you see? No one has ever accused you of being in poor physical condition. Has the frustration with being unable to coach a team to a winning season - even as an assistant at freaking Florida - taken this much of a toll on your psyche? Does this much failure on the field twist your sense of self-worth off of it?

Listen, Joker. We think you're beautiful. Not just on the outside, but on the inside, too. Two of your wide receivers last year recorded at least 500 total receiving yards! You know how many wideouts had done that since Will Muschamp's arrival in Gainesville? None! You did that! You!

But here's the thing. It's not about what we think of you. It's about how you feel about yourself. Healthy living is fine, but don't use dangerous dieting to address a problem that's not about your physical self. We just want you to see the person we see: a hardworking, MS Paint using, good man who, above all, is not Will Muschamp.

And never will be.
