FIRED. Bo Pelini, before he could even pick up his fourth loss in whatever bowl game Nebraska goes to. (Spencer thinks it would have been Georgia, but my prediction is that Georgia loses to Minnesota.) At least the players understand why this decision had to be made no I'm kidding they're extremely pissed off.
ALSO FIRED. Auburn defensive coordinator Ellis Johnson, he of the storied one-and-done winless season as the head coach of Southern Miss. Turns out giving up the most points to Alabama in Iron Bowl history is not a good thing for one's job security. Make a note of that, future Auburn DC Jon Tenuta.
ALSO EXTREMELY FIRED. The athletic director at UAB, and probably UAB football as a whole, at least based on how things look right now. The University of Alabama Board of Trustees could not be reached for comment, as they were still busy trying to clone Greg McElroy in an Easy Bake Oven.
HIRED. Lance Leipold, by the Buffalo Bulls. Don't feel bad if you hadn't heard of him, as Leipold comes from D-III Wisconsin-Whitewater, where he has a record of 106-6. (That is not a typo.) We hope he does the exact same at Buffalo, forcing Syracuse and Rutgers to relinquish their sham claims as New York's College Team.
NOT FIRED? Brady Hoke? Somehow? Maybe they just lost his employee file? I don't understand?
R.I.P. Buckeye walk-on lineman Kosta Karageorge, who was reported missing early last Wednesday, was found dead of a self-inflicted gunshot wound yesterday. Our thoughts are with his teammates, friends, and most importantly his family.
