Part I is here.
So here's part II, based on geography. Same NCAA12 rules apply:
NCAA 12 Rules: Must have 4 Independent Teams. Must have 4 teams per conference. No conferences can be destroyed. Schools consist of only those in NCAA12--no created schools or schools moving up to FBS in 2013, like UMASS.
Own rules: Make categories fit together as best given the rules above. Schools in the same state must be in the same conference. Independents must be drawn from states with only one FBS school in them.
So, here we go. Again, enjoy, discuss, debate, hypothesize how they'd do...whatever. You miscreants are the only ones who could appreciate my time and effort on something so useless.

3 Northeastern teams became Independents, so I drew the dividing line for this conference at the Civil War border.

Nebraska Cornhuskers |
15 teams
MWC = Nebraska, Colorado, Arizona, New Mexico in one division, Nevada, Utah, and Idaho in the other, divided sort of on a SW--NE axis. Wyoming was going to be in here as well, but I needed a 4th Independent, and it's not like anyone will miss them.
Pac12 |
USC Trojans |
UCLA Bruins |
Cal Bears |
San Jose St Spartans |
SDSU Aztecs |
Fresno St Bulldogs |
|
Stanford Cardinal |
Hawaii Warriors |
Oregon Ducks |
Oregon St Beavers |
WSU Cougars |
Wash. Huskies |

Sure, Hawaii would make sense as a geographic Independent, but screw you, I'm a Hawaii grad and we're winning the PAC 12, baby. Plus, it made a logical choice for a 12th team--not like Wyoming or Boston College was going to fit here.
