OH-SIV-UH-GIE. IT'S EDO FOR "BADASS"

The Tennessean spotlights Moses Osemwegie, Jr., Vanderbilt linebacker whose last name means "badass" in Edo. (Its real meaning is "self-satisfaction," but we thought that sounded a little too intimate for public consumption.) Osemwegie's dad, who passed away from ALS, was a badass, too; despite suffering from the effects of the disease, he watched his son play his high school games and worked literally until the day he died, expiring amid the stacks at Tennessee State University. The hardest hitter at Vandy since the hellacious Jamie Winborn has got some strong-ass genes. If you've got ESPNU, consider watching a bit of the Wake-Vandy game just to see Moses lay a commandment or two on the orbit sweeper in the Wake offense.
