We are inside of three weeks until the first college football game kicks off. Let's be honest, at this point in the waiting game we are so thirsty for water* that we will gladly drink from whatever well we happen to stumble across. Looking at the schedule, whether it be your own team's or the whole schedule, is the equivalent of looking at a mirage out in the distance. All of it looks pretty and you would probably watch any of them if given the chance but right now all you can do is think about the possibilities and make yourself thirsty.
*just so we are clear the water is college football.
Horrible comparison aside, the closer we get to the season the more often I find myself staring at the schedule longingly, sometimes for hours on end. I wonder which game I would watch if I could only watch one per week. Usually the answer is my alma mater. But if I couldn't watch that game then I usually find myself choosing to watch an SEC game. Barring those games and then..well you get the point. Having gone over the weeks enough I wanted to hear the commentariat's preferences.
Every day there will be another post that will cover questions about a different week starting with Week 1 today and ending with Week 14 on August 30th. Below are the questions and my respective answers.
1. Would you watch your team's game or another game this week: My team. Even though the Hogs are playing Jacksonville St. it's still the first game of the season.
2. Game (not involving my team) that I am most looking forward to: Michigan vs. Alabama
3. Game (not involving the conference my team is in) that I am most looking forward to: Notre Dame vs. Navy
4. Upset of the week (based on the speculative preseason rankings): Georgia Tech over Virginia Tech
