Travel time!

The hot, miserable offseason is the perfect time to daydream about road trips, tailgating, and sweet, delicious college football. I have this crazy dream to visit every Division 1 stadium in the country at some point in my life and I've realized the logistical challenges in accomplishing this feat since it's hard to justify the time and expense involved with a cross country trip to Murfreesboro, Tennessee for one day of football and tailgating. I'd like to be able to pull off this feat before I qualify for the senior discount and the best way seems to be double dipping on trips and taking advantage of the ever-increasing slate of Thursday/Friday night college football.

I realize there are similar lunatics 'round these parts so I wanted to share some of the planning I've been doing. I've taken a look at each Thursday/Friday game on the schedule and tried to find nearby Saturday games. For brevity's sake (and holy cow this is way longer than expected) I omitted any weekday game that doesn't have something within reasonable (defined as ~5 hours or less) driving distance. The list is below and based solely on my own mental geography and the process was far from scientific so feel free to suggest omissions/errors in the comments. No need to be a dick about OMG TOO FAR. We all make sacrifices in life and I can sleep when I'm dead.

The list is after the jump. What games will you attend? Let's make plans in the comments.

Weekday games are in bold with their local Saturday options listed beneath each one.
