A POEM TO MY SPECIAL BUDDY JOHN BRANTLEY

J is for Jock, which is still what you are!

O is for Outstanding, like a really cool car!

H is for Handsome, and just ask the ladies!

N is for Nice like a brand new Mercedes!

B is for Better. This year, that means you! 

R is for Run, which this year you won't do. 

A is for Awesome. Your new middle name!

N is for None, Your share of the blame!

T is for Tough, because you played with contusions

L is for Linemen, they're always confusin'!

E is for Extra Special, but who!?

Y is for the special one--THE SPECIAL ONE'S YOU!
