Last Night's Archer
I know some of the people here watch Archer so I wanted to pass this along.
I just read that one of the final scenes last night was a huge homage to a random and supposedly controversial Magnum PI episode. Being 27, MPI was before my time, but after finding out about this, it made the scene much more enjoyable the second time around.

The last 2 episodes of Archer have been magnificent pieces of work
I wasn’t a Magnum fan, so I didn’t get the reference but I still enjoyed the shit out of last night’s show.

The one where Archer goes to Miami
The one a couple weeks ago with movie starlet that ends up being a spy
the one with the Blimp is fantastic
but archer in miami titled “honeypot” is probably my favorite. having thomas lennon guest staring was awesome

The scene where Archer comes into cafe scene covered in mud and the two gay guys comment that he must have had a fun night was so awesome

To have gotten the Magnum PI reference right away? It was from the first season of Magnum when he kills the Russian agent whom he had trouble with in Vietnam. The guy basically dared him to do it and he did.
This season has disappointed me a little bit
The first episode was amazing all the way through, and the last two or three have gotten a little better, but I was a little bored for a big chunk in the middle.
I blame it on watching the episode previews and getting a few of the best lines spoiled.
I do agree that some of the stuff between the first episode and the cancer story arc haven't been the best
But the good episodes have been some of the very best. I’m totally satisfied so far.
