HST
HST seemed much more concerned with pro football v. college. Just sayin.
Now that I am a father, I am having the opposite experience. I understand your point...that time seems shorter now. But for me, things that once mattered so much, like the outcome of games that I cannot control, matter much less. I am so focused on my son and his well being and his future that little else matters. Of course, when he's old enough, we'll be cheering for old Penn State and tailgating like champions. But the score just won't mean as much to me. Spending time with him and explaining the finer points will be my focus. His fun will be my fun, if that makes any sense.

Amen, brother
I know that feeling, right down to teaching my little ones to love Penn State. The oldest is old enough to go to games, and tailgate, and lives for it every fall. You and I have been there and done that – now we can enjoy trying to see it through their eyes, and helping them enjoy football season to the fullest. His fun is my fun, and yes, that does make sense.
