EDSBS Fantasy Football— Updated with Invite Info

CBS has a college fantasy option. I'm 99% sure that it's free to play. I've never played it, but I'd imagine it might be fun. Anyone here interested in doing a league?

Also, if there's any interest in a pro league, I'd be down for that as well.

If you want to join, send me an email at jayhndry@gmail.com so I can send you an invite. I haven't set up the pro league yet, but I'm leaning towards yahoo. If anyone has a strong objection to that, you'll want to let me know soon as I'll probably set that one up in the next couple of days.

Also, don't sweat any rules that are in place (scoring/autodraft/whatever). Those can all be changed. I just haven't messed with anything yet.

The college one is on CBS. I’ve got accounts on Yahoo, ESPN, and now CBS so the pro league can basically be anywhere.

Something’s wrong with that account. It could be because I haven’t been a UF student for a year now. It could be because they know that I’m a traitor going to FSU law. It could just be a particularly slow day for webmail. I don’t know.

Regardless, if you’re interested, send me an email with the league you want to play (college/pro/both) to jayhndry@gmail.com and if you have a preference between ESPN or Yahoo for pro league let me know (it looks like CBS Sports is $20 to create a league).

Don’t know why it would default to total authoritarian commish mode.

You should be able to change your names, post messages, and do other stuff now though.

Well, we've only got three so far

I’m looking for somewhere between 8 and 12 realistically. If we can get more, then that would be great.

I dont’ think the college league will suffer from numbers like a pro league will, so seriously, everyone should email me.

Once we have the people, we can discuss draft. CBS has the option to do a draft over time. So we could block off a couple of weeks and have everyone draft at their leisure. Or we could do a standard live draft. Or (WORST CASE SCENARIO AHEAD) we could do an auto draft if everyone can’t agree.

Live draft

is the best option. If you don’t get what you want, you can prioritize. That’d be my suggestion.

I agree

the extended draft seems like a good compromise though. Everyone completes their drafts over a period of days (likely a standard snake draft order). If you fail to pick within the period of time allotted for your selection, the computer makes that pick for you.

I don’t see a reason for an auto-draft when we have options like these.

I haven't decided when to do the draft for either league

I’m about to head to Costa Rica for a week so it will have to be after that. If it looks like we’re still going to have people join while I’m away I’ll make one of you co-commissioner so we can keep this thing rolling.

Alright, everyone

I couldn’t remember which of you wanted the pro league so I sent invites to everyone invited to the CBS college league. If you don’t want in, let me know and I’ll remove you.

Pro league is a yahoo sports league. Again, don’t mind the rules yet. I’ve changed some of them but not all of them.

I’m not sure what a yahoo email invite looks like, as I’ve never been email invited to their stuff, but if it’s stupid and doesn’t include the league ID and password, I’ll post them below.

PS, this league has a hard cap of 12 members in the interest of fairness. I don’t foresee a need to cap the college league as there’s 120 teams to choose from (and roughly 70 with at least one really good thing going for them).
