OBC is da bomb
I hated him beating Auburn (and reveled in the few special wins), but always admired his snarky honesty and one-liners. Now that he is a mere mortal coach at USC, I have to admit he’s still the most entertaining of all coaches when interviewed, and I include JoePa (my other favorite) in that group.
The man has style by the bucket. Let him coach forever.

When I am old, I shall wear purple...
…and say exactly what’s on my mind. I’ll have alzheimers in spades by then, of course, which is the only way I could ever be 1/1000th as cool as the OBC.
Throwing Dougie Johnson under the bus
13 years later! Awesome. Ole Ball Coach doesn’t forget. I get the feeling that he keeps a well worn “Enemies List” hand written in a notebook covered with the stitched hide of Larry Guest and Bill Curry.
I still miss the OBC...
As good as its been to be a Gator this century, and its been unbelievably good, nothing will ever quite live up to the 90’s and FINALLY owning those poodles!
Yesss, Amen!
Coach Spurrier delivered us from a zone somewhere between mediocrity and Hell. He did it in a way that will still glow decades from now and he did it with balls and wit. I think the world of Urban Meyer but I will always have a special affinity for the OBC.
