Brent’s turned 71 and still going.

Why the commie flag on the basketball?

This earns my second “wtf” of the last 24 hours.

My brain has been running on a bizarre cocktail of adrenalin, coffee, illicit drugs, and cocktails so maybe I’m not as sharp as normal. Then again, that’s not too far from my normal state…

Good god I didn't even notice that

Also, add “porn,” “loud music” and “microbrews” to may above list of life-fuel.

Happy birthday indeed.

He’s a show, make no mistake, but now that Keith Jackson has packed it in, Brent Musburger is the one ABC/ESPN announcer who can make any game feel like an event. Hell, he called Vandy-Auburn in ’08 and it felt like bloody Ragnarok…

I can see how you might feel that way

two mid-level SEC teams with good defenses and low-end offenses… that’s enough to make most people greet the End of Days.

Fwiw, I would pay damn near anything to hear Gus Johnson call a big-time SEC football game

With the exception of Keith Jackson, I don’t think any commentator I’ve ever heard can approach Gus Johnson.

Completely different styles, though: Keith Jackson is like a grandfather. You hear his voice and it’s like a Robert E Lee blanket of history and tradition. Gus, on the other hand, is like an IV injection of cocaine right into the aorta.

Musburger’s not bad though.

Gus Johnson news

I’ve heard Gus will be the voice of Madden 11. Will I be pre-ordering? HELL and YES.

Brent's taller than I imagined

As for the upside-down rim, Brent went Darryl Dawkins on it. Afterwards named the devastating dunk the “Hoe-down throw-down bent the rim upside down.”

I'd rather listen to Keels..

but this. was. awesome!

Could be up to the offensive line? No, Krenzel’s going to throw for it! Got to get it off! They go for the ball game…TOUCHDOWN!! TOUCHDOWN!! MICHAEL JENKINS!! ON 4TH & 1! WOULD YOU BELIEVE IT! CRAIG KRENZEL STRIKES… WITH A MINUTE AND A HALF LEFT!

HOLY BUCKEYE!
