Barely 24 hours after the shockingly senseless death of Vanderbilt signee Rajaan Bennett, the SEC was hit by a second tragedy as Ole Miss player Bennie Abram died during routine conditioning drills on campus. Abram was reportedly a consistently hard worker who'd spent two years at Itawamba Community College before transferring to Oxford, hoping to walk on with the Rebels as a safety. Our prayers go out to both the Abram and Bennett families, who for very different reasons are having to deal with the same horror: the sudden loss of a talented and by all accounts upstanding young man many years before his prime.
