Exactly 70 bowl eligible
There are exactly 70 bowl eligible teams to fill the 70 spots. There will be no need to fill in with some 5-7 team or teams. Four teams can still get eligible next week, I expect one will. In order of how likely they are to win:
Washington vs Washington St in the crapple cup.
MTSU vs FIU. FIU has clinched the Sun Belt title, so that might give MTSU a chance.
La Tech vs Nevada. Yeah, not happening.
Oregon St vs Oregon. See above, only more so. Well, it is a rivalry, so maybe its a bit more likely.
If Washington wins (Im ignoring the other possibilities), Western Michigan is probably the 6-6 team that gets to stay home. If somehow Oregon St also wins, it might be Louisville that gets left out, but not sure with some of the changes in rules, might be another MAC team staying home.

Geezz go ahead and let everyone play then. I mean I wouldn’t mind one more epic Texas fan meltdown to finish the season.
Roll Tide.
Thanks for the update
Was wondering about that….
"You can't be afraid to play somebody because they've got 3 really good players. How are you going to win if you're afraid to play? We're not going to be afraid to play - we're going to fight, we're going to attack, we're going to throw it out there and see what happens." - Carlos Boozer
Did anyone read SI's article on how the bowls are essentially a scam?
Schools usually lose money on the trip. And not just for the shitty bowls, either- they said Ohio State lost some serious cash playing in the Rose Bowl last year, since the school is essentially forced to buy X number of tickets at retail prices.
Meanwhile, the pointless bureaucrat that runs something like the Kraft Fight Hunger Bowl makes well over $100k a year.
Oh yeah, and ESPN has been buying up these games like crazy. Gee, I wonder why…

Yeah, Ive been pushing the playoff idea even harder since I saw that
although I think I saw it somewhere other than SI.
The percent of revenue the bowls return to the schools is pathetic.
Conference homers are the lowest form of fandom. That is why the SEC has so many of them.
