Playoffs - Part 2
See last weeks fanpost for more details, using BCS standings, assuming top ranked team in BCS wins conference, for those outside top 25, used Sagarin rankings, so yes I have WVU as the Big East champ instead of Pitt.
16 FIU @ 1 Oregon 9 Ohio St @ 8 Nebraska 13 W Virginia @ 4 Boise St 12 Va Tech @ 5 LSU 15 Temple @ 2 Auburn 10 Ok St @ 7 Wisconsin 14 C Florida @ 3 TCU 11 Alabama @ 6 Stanford

Changes from last week
Alabama replaces Michigan St at #11
W Virginia replaces Pitt at #13
FIU replaces Troy at #16
Everything else stayed the same. Boring weekend.
Conference homers are the lowest form of fandom. That is why the SEC has so many of them.
And I certainly hope the Mountaineers can make that happen.
Hey Oliver Luck, I absolutely hate that WVU is "the winningest college football team to have never won a National Championship". You think you could do something about that?
Alabama +4.5
using Sagarin predictor
Stanford is about 1.5 pts better and then add on 3 for home field.

For some reason, image is would be a few pts closer in vegas

A better question
What would the line be on the Oregon-FIU game?

Sagarin suggest FIU +36
I dont think that is close to enough.

Assuming no upsets...
1st round is a bit “meh” (only the 8/9, 10/7, and 11/6 games would be interesting), but the 2nd round would be amazing:
8 Nebraska @ 1 Oregon
5 LSU @ 4 Boise St
7 Wisconsin @ 2 Auburn
6 Stanford @ 3 TCU
5-12 might also be a good game
both squeaked by UNC.
And of course random Hat based craziness.
But yeah, 3-4 good first games would be the norm. And chances for surprising upsets. There arent any CMU’s taking up the 14th spot this year though.

5-12 game
That whole “@ LSU” thing would be murderous, though. I distinctly remember a game a few years ago that had that premise …

That LSU team and this LSU team arent the same at all
Although I guess the same could be said about VT too.

For whatever reason, they fell to 12th in the BCS this week.
If Bama beats Auburn, that problem will be taken care of.
Or Oklahoma beating OK St. Or the Big12 championship game.
Just about impossible for MSU to win out and not be in the top 5 at large teams.
They are getting killed by an awful, even by Big10 v Mac standards, OOC schedule. Northern Colorado is even a bad Big Sky team. The one “BCS” opponent blows too.

Auburn beats Alabama, that was supposed to be.
