So, in case you hadn't heard, there's a game in Ann Arbor (yes, she is a whore) Saturday between the Spartans and Wolverines. It pits 2 traditional rivals, both holding perfect 5-0 records, and both ranked in the top 20. This is the first time since 1999 that this game has occurred with both teams undefeated and ranked, so it's kind of a big deal.
You would think this would be an easy choice of a location for ESPN to host their traveling circus, College Gameday. Big 10 campus, gorgeous fall weather, and a rivalry game where the stakes haven't been higher in at least a decade.
However, ESPN chose to go with the "Southern Strategy" and go to Sakerlina to see the Gamecocks host Alabama instead. For this, I say "you suck ESPN!"
But, to make matters worse, and to rub some salt into the wound, the ABC/Disney/ESPN axis of malignancy subjects fans in the once-great state of Michigan to an even worse insult......
"Hey guys, just here checking out your wide receivers"
This guy is calling the game.
If there's one thing that Spartan and Wolverine fans can heartily agree upon, it's that Matt Millen should never be allowed within the state borders, much less this close to our beloved football teams. It's frightful to think that the disease he foisted upon the Lions might be borne back with him and rub off on the college ranks.
If there isn't a "Fire Millen" chant going before halftime, I will be sorely disappointed.
