REMINDER: FIESTA BOWL LIVEBLOG AY AY AY!
Bring your Tostitos and contraband Mexican pharmaceuticals to the Fiesta Bowl liveblog at 8 p.m.. It's on Fox, so you know one thing will suck about it: the production. The rest is up to the teams, previewed neatly here, here, and here for long term implications stuff.
As for the game...nothing interesting ever happens in it.
See you at 8.

I’ll bring my department store brand chips, Pace salsa (2 for 1 this week), and a pint of Boddingtons beer.

Anyone know where I can watch the lost-PAC ads for Cincinnati deserving a national title shot?
I’ll be there fueled by highlife and wishing Pat Summerall got this game instead of the Cotton Bowl.

Kevn@LSU…my father and I actually made note of that this season…every game we turned on…no matter which team or conference was playing…mentioned Tebow at least once. Wonder what they will find to talk about next season?

@ 2 / Tim James – Yeah, no kidding about the tortilla chips. You know why Tostitos can afford to sponsor a bowl game? BECAUSE THEY CHARGE $5 FOR A $2 BAG OF CHIPS!!! Who are the people that buy these things? I always wonder that. The store brand are usually good but the Santitas are really good, and they are only like $2, sometimes less.

I hope everyone enjoys the 2008 Poinsettia Bowl.
Wait, that’s not right…

Raiduhs Dept:
Besides Tebow, I am sure the Kid James-Coach Leach situation will come up.
Pirate Leach would be a great coach for the Oakland Raiduhs. He would fit right in with the misfits of Oakland and would just block out “Red” from his TTech clothing.

That’s what it should be here during this month. Well, without the sun at this hour. Damn global cooling.

I have a sneaky feeling that it’s going to be a TCU blowout (and not even a fun car wreck 70-0 blowout but a boring 24-0 blowout), so I’m going to karaoke night and keeping tabs on the game on my mobile. If I’m wrong, I’ll head over to a sports bar.

At least twice during the game they’ll talk about how amazing and brilling the “DirecTV” camera is that hangs over the field as if it were the newest and most awesome invention in all of TV. Nevermind that ESPN has been using that same set-up for almost a decade because WEAREFOXSPORTSTHEMOSTINNOVATIVEANDBESTESTOFALLSPORTSBROADCASTING!!!!

Unfortunately I won’t be able to live blog with you fello—I mean, mi amigos. I’ll be at a conveniecne store watching this with mi amigo with my bags of Tostitos readily avaliable on the shelves. Such is the way college football is lived, from the most grandoise bars/grills and stadiums themselves to insignificant Chevron stations on rural Idaho roads.
Oh well. Go Broncos. The last thing the world needs is another Texas team that’s not even coached by a pirate.

@5: Overpriced? Yes. That said, I will fight to the death the man who suggests that Scoops aren’t one of the century’s greatest inventions. If they made a larger size I’d eat chili and drink cheap beer out of them.
