You ended the liveblog before we could revile this actual quote:

“Everybody’s going to want Boise State in their bowl game.”

Were the guys in studio actually watching this game at any point?

(Of course not. Jimmy Johnson brought plenty booze and entertainment I’m sure…)

That game sucked.

With two teams with nothing to lose, I sure did lose alot time I would like back…….
Boise St would go 6-6 in the SEC. Period. How long will the hearings in Congress last this time? Peterson should be the ND coach…….better record……

Peterson is pretty damn hickish

Anyone else not surprised the head rep for Frito-Lay in morbidly obese?

Is it just me, or could Chris Peterson double as your neighborhood Schwan’s man?

Sorry I missed it. I was busy watching two turtles trying to fuck a rugby ball.

Anything more exciting happen?

Anything more exciting happen?

Only the greatest moment in CFB halftime history.

You guys are all horrible, awful people, and I’m glad I watched the Fiesta Bowl with you.

by TechDan on Jan 5, 2010 12:26 AM EST reply actions

It’s awfully telling that the best performance by far from either team came from the BSU punter.

Uh…turns out Sad Cowbell Girl was blind. I feel sorta really terrible right now.

Boise begins and ends the season with two godawful games.

Godalmighty that was fun. Orange Bowl. Tomorrow. Be there, or be square. Like a Tech undergrad.

Wow I never knew so many people accross the nation were so unhappy and bored that they left stupid blogs tearing down what was a very entertaining game between 2 really good teams (TCU AND BOISE STATE)!!! Let me guess you are huge fans of the Arizona/Nebraska game and the wonderful final score of 33 to 0? Or you really enjoyed the Cincinnati/Florida and the rout it turned out to be?

Hey what was the secret to the liveblog. I logged in on Firefox and IE and never saw my comments come up and asked once or twice if people were seeing them, with no replies. Do you have to register, am I just retarded, or was I getting bumped?

Yes, Indeed, Orange Bowl Tomorrow/Today. Go Jackets! Josh Nesbitt and Jonathan Dwyer running roughshod over slow Big Ten corn-jockeys.

PS Im so glad someone youtubed the cowbell girl.

Dear Fox college football producer,

Thanks so much for cutting to a shot of two fat TCU dudes BEFORE THE PLAY WAS OVER! None of us saw the fumble in the middle of the 3rd quarter live.

Fox has by far the best coverage of all time during college sports. What other network would figure out the age old misconception that those watching on television are more interested in what is happening in the stands than on the field. ESPN’s take on Monday Night Football is close, but no one really cares who’s in the booth, just what size pretzel and coke the person in Section 538 Row 14 Seat 7 was actually capable of shoveling in their gullet while somehow wiggling into their seat.

Compare any old coverage, say 25-30 years ago, and note the difference. The focus was on the game, not fan shots after every play. Coaches and sideline shots were rare too. Unless Woody was breaking yard markers over his knee or imitating Joe Frazier.

The quality of sportscaster was far better as well. Compare Curt Gowdy and Cosell to Mark May and Loooouuuu today.

You can have your sad cowbell girl. This is the moment I shall treasure:

Missed that one at the time. And I don’t remember if anyone commented, but I’m not sure how Boise State recruiters made it out of Compton alive.
