When do we just admit there is no dominant team this year?

As Holly’s feelings are portrayed on this cover, we can see the REAL Tennessee hate week has started…
Holly sweetie, you coming to Tuscaloosa?

Would you believe that actually never crossed my mind and I was just pissed they put a hurt on Garcia and played an ugly-ass game? It didn’t even occur to me it’s now 3rd Sat week.
Anyway, wouldn’t miss it. (Assuming I don’t have the flu, which remains to be seen.)

Oh, don’t worry, if you have the flu you’ll fit in perfectly… we’re taking odds on when its going to mutate into a zombifying bug and all these twiggy blonde Phi-Mu coeds who have it are going to start wandering around in Nike running shorts and Ugg boots peeling back Bama Bangs™ and wolfing down brains in just the way they don’t wolf down any nutrient other than alcohol in their “normal” state.
And no, I don’t believe that for one second.

I know it’s a buzzkill, but I just heard the news about the UConn QB stabbed to death last night. Sad, man, sad: http://www.courant.com/sports/uconn-football/hc-uconn-stabbing-jasper-howard-1018,0,69181.story

@1: The second Iowa, Cincy, or Boise State moves into the top 2.
by AERose on Oct 19, 2009 3:35 AM EDT reply actions
Cincinnati would beat anyone in the top 10 except Alabama and maybe Texas. Boise and Iowa couldn’t beat anyoe, unless Oregon moves back into the top 10 in which case Boise already beat them.

Everything was going so well until “Terrence Cody on Top.” First, thank you for not making that the cover. Second, DEAR GOD WHY?!
by Gator Bone on Oct 19, 2009 8:27 AM EDT reply actions
Cinci ain’t beatin’ no Gators if the SEC refs have any say. Gotta keep UF and UA on track for that undefeated matchup, ’n all.

@1
Last I checked, Bama hasn’t had a single-digit win yet. I’d say they’ve been pretty dominant.

Holly – great work. Thanks for giving me a laugh on a dreary Monday while Horns are stopping by the office to rub salt in my wounds.

You know what I just realized, barring any major shake-ups in the polls. By the end of the year LSU will have played two #1’s after their open dates. Meaning the top teams of that time will have had two weeks to prep for LSU. How did we manage to pull that one off.

God create cajun cusine…However, I still think I can boil crawfish better than He.

Great work, Holly.
Kragthorpe’s ‘little white lies"? Something like, "I’ll be back next year".
Kevin@LSU – I’m looking forward to getting a belly-full of cajun cooking next year when the Eers come to Baton Rogue.

@11 — If I had a vote, I would put Alabama at No. 1. . . . However, 4 turnovers, losing time of possession, fewer first downs — all at home to South Carolina — would not, for most people, be a definition of dominant.
by allaha on Oct 19, 2009 12:08 PM EDT reply actions
@17 — Bama’s game against South Carolina doesn’t retroactively make undominant the previous victims on the schedule. Because they had 4 TOs against the Cocks, you don’t get to add 4 TOs to the Arkansas game, Kentucky game, etc. And while Saturday’s performance was flawed, 246 was not. Any further discussions of Bama vis-a-vis the Dominance Index may be referred to Stephen Garcia’s right leg, which Tyrone King pulp-fictioned late in the 4th.
