GAMEDAY: THE NAUSEATED LATE SHIFT

Feeling sick about something that happened today? You're probably a Georgia fan, or a Huskies fan weeping in between Jimmy Clausen pumping his fist in your face and giving the universal "suck it!" pelvic thrust as a permissive referee watches it happen. Share your sadness, your joys, and most importantly, your various hatreds for unassailable college football shibboleths in the comment threads of the night shift. And seriously: don't fuck with Les Miles in a land war in Asia.

Michael David Barrett – You are our Hero. We are behind you all the way. The mistake was in trying to sell it.

The Ginger Ninja did not kill with proper timing. You do not give a riverboat gambler one last chip to double down on black with.

Holly,

Is the giant catfish being held out till the second half?

Who calls an excessive celebration with less contact than Blount fist -> chin with less than 2 minutes? UGA has once again taken 5-9 months off of my life.

Also, notice the ginger assassin didn’t compose himself until dusk. This is getting a little creepy…

It may date back to Corvalis in 2007, but the site just went up during the 2nd quarter of this Cal/USC game. Wish I had more time to do more.

Da U is hanging in there…COME ON MOUSTACHE1 Jacory Harris looks really poised laying on his back after every play.

Found out too late that my in-laws don’t get ESPNU on their Comcast, so no Ole Miss-Vandy for me. And don’t ask about Internet…I’m typing this from my half-assed "smart"phone. I wish Husband had left my happy ass in Starkville with Metrocast.

OTOH, maybe it’s for the best…I’ve always had a sneaking suspicion I’m a “jinx” and that we win if I don’t watch (oh, like you’ve never wondered…).

What the fuck?

by wfguiteau on Oct 3, 2009 9:46 PM EDT reply actions

Well, fuck me sideways, never mind everything I just wrote. Switched over out of curiousity; apparently they “unlocked” the channel for all Comcast customers just for the game. Guess I’ll find out if the jinx still applies.

And in the time it took to type that Vandy just ran to the five…crap.

11, don’t know if I’m up for Beau vs. Matt, just annoys me the assumption that we can’t run Best against better teams, so don’t even try.

by mikeylikesit on Oct 3, 2009 10:28 PM EDT reply actions

Thanks for the Miami plug Brent. I’m sure Luther Campbell would second that.

by roaminggator on Oct 3, 2009 10:29 PM EDT reply actions

Whoever is running camera for GT/MSU is as confused about MSU’s zone read plays as GT’s defense is. Neither never knows who has the ball.

by softbatch on Oct 3, 2009 10:31 PM EDT reply actions

Don’t worry, it’s all part of Kiffin’s plan, to play conservative and keep it close. He knows what he is doing, he’s gaining respect around the conference.

by roaminggator on Oct 3, 2009 10:37 PM EDT reply actions

I must be calming down. I am willing for the SEC refs to merely be run out of town never to return to a football field again. That is far better than murder and mayhem.

by meg on Oct 3, 2009 10:39 PM EDT reply actions

Well, I guess the excuse for running the clock down on every play in the 4q against Florida. . .that Tennessee “doesn’t have a hurry-up offense so they couldn’t run one” is no longer valid. Gotta find a different reason why Kiffin wasn’t not trying to win the game. Doh.

If Auburn beats UT in Knoxville by the same margin that a fully Tebowed UF beat UT in Gainesville, does that mean Auburn is for real?

by Bear Bryant's Corpse on Oct 3, 2009 11:20 PM EDT reply actions

I think Erin Andrews was going over the list of websites that have her video on them.

by roaminggator on Oct 3, 2009 11:23 PM EDT reply actions

Well, OU is done. That Big 12 Championship is looking pretty-good right now isn’t it?

by roaminggator on Oct 3, 2009 11:26 PM EDT reply actions

If Bob Stoops ever becomes president, his first act will be to put the city of Miami to the torch.

And UT got 4 Time Outs in the second half.

by NewAZTiger on Oct 3, 2009 11:38 PM EDT reply actions

Who coined the term “The Hat” for Les Miles? Herbie just referred to him as that. If it was this site that did so, bravo.

by softbatch on Oct 3, 2009 11:42 PM EDT reply actions

I think Stefano has my cell number. I just got text that says:

“To all of you non believers… UUUUUUUUUUUUU… Is back… Suck failure freaks…”

Sadly, this is not a joke. I don’t even like Oklahoma, or anyone else on Miami’s schedule.

by chg on Oct 3, 2009 11:43 PM EDT reply actions

@ 32- Still cheaper and more sensible than the first act of some Presidents.

by chg on Oct 3, 2009 11:46 PM EDT reply actions

“If Bob Stoops ever becomes president, his first act will be to put the city of Miami to the torch.”

But he’d somehow end up lighting himself on fire in the process.

Meanwhile, my hometown squad is finding itself lost in the desert near Handjob Hill. I tried warning my Coog friends/family about this sort of thing…

by SteveInHouston on Oct 3, 2009 11:46 PM EDT reply actions

@28

Well, Auburn only had 100 yards MORE than the “fully Tebowed Gators” on Monte Kiffin’s defense.

So, yeah.

Dear Gus,

I saw you on TV today and thought I’d say hi. I still think about how it could have been, but you seemed happy. My new boyfriend is kind of a creep, but he knows how much I like my balls passed. He does it pretty good. Still miss you, tho.
We beat the Aggies at Galaxy High Stadium. It as kind of slutty, but we needed the release.
Gotta go! When you see Houston, say hello for me. Then turn that bitch out like a pant pocket.
     Go Hogs.

     Your ex,
     The Pirate George

Ironic that the sun prevented the Ginger Ninja from early success against LSU… Evidently UGAs D is solar powered. As Cox picked it up, the D let them down. Even as a GT fan totally opposed to anything UGA related, I’d have to call the celebration calls bush league at best.

Thankfully GT and Auburn won and I am going to bed happy. The audio of all the freaking cowbells sucked, but still a good game. MSU will be a force to be reconed with in the near future.

Nite all.

Thanks. Unfortunately, “she” wanted to “talk” Sattiday night & I saw ZILCH of the game. Only stats.

MSU couldn’t even win in the Sun Belt with a 9-1 negative TO margin over two weeks.
