42 IS THE ANSWER
This week's installment of "excellence in media guide typos" comes courtesy of UGA. You won't like it, but as usual, the answer to everything is 42:
The guide has the 45-42 Tech victory last year in Athens as a 42-42 tie. Please note that the Florida score is accurate, and still registers a full, sexy 39 point margin of victory. Mark Bradley also mentions the differing tallies between Tech and UGA in the series, and takes pains to mention Jasper Sanks' fumble/non-fumble in the '99 game and thus double-Rochambeau Dawg fans. Remember this when you're kicking Bradley in the balls in person, and feel justified.

Who said history is written by the victors?

This must be an example of why Tim Brando doesn’t trust anything not involving an editor.

So long Dawgs and thanks for all the fish.

One of the commenters on the originial story page insinuated that UGA turns off the scoreboard at Sanford immediately after a loss… Can any Georgia fans verify this?

According to the Dawgs, Fayetteville is in AK (Alaska).

@ALGator-
I don’t know if they do it after every loss, but they definitely did it after last year’s GT game.

That is absolutely true, and more or less true wherever I see the Dawgs in person on the road as well. Don’t want pictures all over the internet. Seeing that bright scoreboard go instantly dark is always so fitting after home losses.

ALGator, I was at the Tech-uga game last year and the scoreboard was turned off within a couple seconds of the clock hitting 0:00. In the past I have been to games where uga has won and they leave the score up there long after the game is over.

Why are the Florida and Alabama scores underlined, as well?
Is Mark Bradley just being his usual dick self, pointing out all of Georgia’s losses, including the typo?
Finally, Bradley has aged. Maybe he stops by the drug store and picks up some Just For Men because it went gray in a hurry, or I have not seen a picture of him in a couple of years. Either way…

Just a reminder that SCar does the same thing when Clemson visits. Everyone’s cell phone pics always have 1 second on the clock, the board goes black immediately after the game.
Carolina learned that lesson the hard way the last time Spurrier visited Chapel Hill as Duke’s HC.

What would that make AZ, then?
Azerbaijan?

That thing is full of typos. As others have pointed out, Tempe is in Arizona, which is abbreviated AZ not AR as the guide asi it. AR is for Arkansas, which is where Fayetteville is and not AK. AK is Alaska.

I believe it also lists Stafford as being drafted by Dallas. If Stafford thinks he has big fake boobs in his face in Detroit, the silicone in Dallas would drown him. (He knows that, being from Highland Park and all.)

The U[sic]GA Athletic Association’s media relations department is not responsible for these errors.
They submit the “phonix vershun 2 the publeeshers” for translation into english. That’s because it is faster and in the SEC, speed kills. Unfortunately for Georgia fans, so does crystal meth.

True. Also true of almost any SEC school. I’ve been to a lot of UGA road games in the past 6 years and (thanks to Richt) have seen many many losses by the home team in which the scoreboard is shut down within seconds to a minute after the game. The only place it stays on for a while is in Jacksonville…. ugh
