MUSTACHE WEDNESDAY: GENGHIS KHAN
As a servant to an aging, once-powerful master watching his empire crumble, it is fitting that on the day Florida State President T.K. Wetherell announces the specifics of his retirement, we honor another once-powerful emperor: Genghis "Flippin'" Khan:

Happy Mustache Wednesday, motherfuckers!
That's one rough Asian there. (As opposed to an Asian Ruff.) Yes, that's safe for work, unlike anything you'll get from a Google search of "rough Asian." (HT: RCR.)

TK falling on his sword like this has to mean wonderful news from the NCAA, no?

Asian Ruff is already taken?
My future daughter doesn’t know how lucky she is. Asian Ruff Bailey has such a nice ring to it.

I’m hoping that the NCAA, on appeal, rules that there was a lack of institutional control and the penalty is the death penalty (Or something similarly harsh).
I never, ever want to see anybody appeal a lenient decision EVER. AGAIN.

Good. Higher education in Florida is getting pegged hard right now. FSU needs a president that isn’t most concerned with “meddling” in the football program’s operations.

Huh?
They are going to get some wins taken away from them. That is the rest of the NCAA penalties yet to be disclosed.
TK is “retiring,” or whatever due to various wrongdoings, the cheating scandal ranking #1, that have plagued FSU in recent years under his watch. #6 makes a good point, though, in that he certainly hurt himself by having much more of a connection to the athletic department, specifically the football program, than any other BCS school president or chancellor.

meh. TK is just retiring so he doesn’t have to be the one to fire Bobby Bowden after he refuses to step down in 2011.
