I dated a gal who was Batali’s personal assistant, that man knows what he’s doing with the pig. Def get the pork sampler plate as an appetizer. As far as cocktails I’d recommend Campbell Apartment tucked away in Grand Central. Not easy to find but well worth it.

Babbo is great. If you’re looking for affordable, yet still amazing, check out David Chang’s Momofuku (yea, that’s how its spelled) Ssam Bar. Its on 207 2nd ave, right on the corner of 13th st and 2nd ave. The menu involves so much pork, you’ll think you’re at an SEC tailgate, and Chang is one of the best chefs in the city.

Gotcha…but can state law trump a national association’s standard operating procedures? On the other hand, I’d love it if as a result of this the NCAA says “here you go” and hands the whole file off to each news outlet ensuring everyone can paper their walls with the entire case. Add to it the transcript of TKW whining behind closed doors during the NCAA’s formal inquiry and we’ve got us a true firestorm of government in the sunshine…the thing dreams are made of…

sb – this is what was reported. Sounds like the NCAA to me. (As much as I hate to defend Bobby)

“Florida State University also learned today that information from the Enforcement Staff and the Committee on Infractions is, by NCAA procedure, posted on a secure NCAA custodial website. The NCAA’s site does not allow for the submission to be downloaded or printed, nor will Florida State University be sent a paper copy. Florida State’s outside counsel will be able to access the NCAA’s secure website in a read only manner. “

hobe @ #17…they make it sound like the NCAA screwed up…the burden is on reFSU to make available documents to any and all. The NCAA simply sent the docs…reFSU is the party who must make them available upon requisition.

We once received a Forcier-esque rec from some guy that included such accomplishments as “voted best looking in high school” and “Sneaky Pete’s HS football player of the week for his performance in..”

UA has reportedly been forced to forfeit the 41-17 beat down of Tenn. along with the other 5 wins, although all of the players involved in the scandal were suspended beginning with that game.

I read where they may “vacate” wins from the past two years. Does this seriously hurt a program, besides a coach’s ego of taking away from his all-time win column? Taking away scholarships hurt a program. Vacating wins seems equal to the UN passing a resolution saying they disagree with cheating and UA should stop it.

Wasn’t Kiffin at USC during the Reggie Bush era? Isn’t Ed O on the UT staff? Hasn’t UT racked up an insane amount of secondary violations in a small amount of time? You are kidding yourself if you think that Tennessee needed a reminder from Alabama as to what amounts to a NCAA violation. You know, deep down, that the Kiffin hire will end in a train wreck..a train wreck that Roy Adams, Fulmer or Kramer will not be able to keep the NCAA away from.

With that said, the UA womens soccer team and track team are gonna get screwed by something that would shame Reggie Nelson.

Far from severe, but still, being put in the NCAA “repeat violator window” through June 2014 sounds worse than a secondary violation.

Thanks for reminding the SEC what actual NCAA violations are!
