Now as funny as those pink boxers are…..

the red shirt doesn’t blend into his surroundings too well. sorta like a bullseye…

Soldier probably misread Winston Churchill’s speech, i.e., “We shall fight them in our britches, we shall fight on the landing grounds, we shall fight in the fields and in the streets…”

Best drill sergeant’s voice:

SWINDLE! YOU’RE OUT OF UNIFORM!

And, wow.

They have idyllic green river valleys in Afghanistan?

I spent considerable time in the Swat valley in 1993-4, after finishing a Fulbright. . . . Idyllic green river valleys does not begin to describe the natural beauty of the area, and I will always be impressed and grateful for the hospitality I received from the loal people.

Particularly on this Memorial Day, I offer thanks and prayers for our troops and all who support them.

Z @ #1

The soldier was racked out and only had time to get his helmet and battle-rattle on when he ran to his position to suppress an attack. Achieving a level of concealment was his smallest concern.
It also looks like his fellow soldier is holding a Barrett .50 cal., so with him and his spotter reaching out and touching folks..I don’t think he is too concerned about being a “bullseye”.

Clearly that soldier is too young to have been a fan of the original Star Trek series, or he would know that nobody in the landing party wears a red shirt without terrible repercussions. Unless they’re Scotty.

I salute our men and women in the armed forces this Memorial Day.

A bit of advice kid, sleep in a more neutral colored t-shirt. :)

according to the article, this guy’s been in over 200 firefights….

he can do whatever the fuck he wants to as far as I’m concerned… he’s earned it

but he ought to know better than to put those shorts in the wash with that t-shirt
