With all the tight ends, pump fakes and penetration into the back field, how could Cherry not frequently call for the illegal use of hands, 8 men in the box or excessive celebration. Never mind the ass-rapings delivered by the BCS on a nearly weekly basis.

@ 3 – you are spot on, my friend. If the ACC is looking to 2008 UM as the posterboy for the evils of staff size inflation, then they’ve taken their eyes off the ball. Plus this is obviously [quick google search. discover negligible number of grad assistants] cheating.

Since it will be YEARS before the ACC ever finds itself in a championship game (whether BCS or playoff format), thank you for reminding me that my team – or some other SEC team for that matter – can look forward to the possibility of Ron Cherry calling a NC game. Tonight, I will be sleeping with the light on thanks to that nightmare.
