ALL I SAW WAS THE CORN

Hurr hurr Nebraska corn joke hurr. Nebraska's stadium gets faincy and we make obvious jokes at its expense. Honestly, though, they're doing it to themselves with terms like HuskerVision, which immediately calls up the red-filmed camera work in the American cinema classic Children of the Corn 2.

More to the point, this is reason to take time out in your cubicle and enjoy these bits of COTC 2, which was astutely subtitled 'The Final Sacrifice" and followed by five more sequels.

The late, great Dan LaFontaine on the voice over.

And yes, Tennesseeyuns, having LaFontaine’s voice narrate your recruiting targets’ entrances into Neyland would be yet another secondary violation…

For the record, these are the fourth and fifth screens installed in the stadium. Osborne only agreed to up them all to HD when he realized he’s too old to see the action on the field anymore.

Also, HuskerVision is a stupid name. Has been since they coined it in 1994.

DON LaFontaine.

Never known for my typing skills. Or much of anything else for that matter.

Still not quite as bad as “Final Fantasy”, which went on to have, what, 9 or so “final” fantasies? I went through the ‘90s continually thinking, "I don’t think that word means what you think it means."

Is there any news on BJ Raji, the BC stud who should be a top ten pick in April?

Aww, threadjacking shills. Must be Friday.

They are up to Final Fantasy XIII at the moment, not counting the direct sequels and spin-offs.

Holly, I appreciate the fact that you’ve been commenting on other comments somewhat frequently since you took over this week. Orson used to do it more frequently than he currently does. Now, he only seems to comment when threads get too politically charged or when he’s handing out one of his awards to a poster who is overly critical of women’s appearances.

I had the advantage of being home sick in bed much of this week. Y’all are great company.

They may have five screens, but none of them is ON FIRE!!!!

After reading the CW this morning and listening to students’ eye-witness accounts, I have deduced that Mal Moore (cause Saban wouldn’t have time for this shit) has decided to up the ante on pre-game intimidation. That wasn’t an accidental fire, it was practice.
