GUESS WHO’S GONE, COACH?
Pittsburgh’s football offices, 8:35 a.m. An assistant runs into Dave Wannstedt’s offices.
Assistant: Coach! Guess who’s going pro?

Wannstedt: [pauses]
Assistant: Come on…the running back?
Wannstedt: [pauses]

Assistant: The one who only averaged 23 carries a game? Carried our team? MVP of our year, essentially?

Wannstedt: GOSH THIS IS HARD OWWWWWWWW.
Assistant: Whoa, coach. You better relax and have some tea. Want me to get you some chamomile.

Wannstedt: Yeah, buddy. That would be great. But tell me: who is it?
Assistant: LeSean McCoy.
Wannstedt: Who?
Assistant: Our running back?
Wannstedt: I…I only know the numbers.
Assistant: Number 25, sir.

Wannstedt: DAMMIT THINKBALL!!! THINK FASTER TIME NEXT!!! STUPID WANNSTEDT THINKBALL!!!
Assistant: I’ll be back with that tea, coach.

I would say poor Wannstedt, but he derserves it. If he did not see this coming when he recruited the kid, he IS having trouble with the ‘thinkball’.

True story:
I was at the AFCA conference this past weekend and I was walking by the conference rooms heading to the convention center when I look up at the second floor and see a shirtless Wannstache in athletic shorts with a towel over his shoulder leaning over the balcony yelling down at coaches passing by on the first floor. This isn’t by the workout facility or even his hotel room – it is in the middle of the mall area. And I’m pretty sure he was business drunk at 9 in the morning.
I was going to get a picture, but was afraid his mustache would confiscate my camera.
Good talk.

They are now saying that Bradford will return to OU. Does that mean Stafford now goes to Detroit? I wouldn’t wish that on anyone – even UGA. Maybe he should reconsider, too.

And to the Big XII fans who complain about the obnoxiousness of SEC fans – this is a posting from an OU fan:
“Being a Sooners fan feels like I met a great girl, and because we had the best sex any couple has ever had, I married her. But then she had a religious awakening and has since refused anything but the most basic, lights-off sex. We pretend to enjoy this joyless ritual, but what I really want is grounds for a divorce she’ll never provide. Can I get a “Ladies and gentlemen, the Bob Stoops Era”?

AWWW now Pitt’s offense will have to work even harder to score ZERO points in a bowl game and embarrass the conference. And USF is officially on preseason-favorite-probation until they stop melting down after Oct. 1, Selvie and Grothe returning or not.

And with Pat White leaving WVU, the Big lEast’s football experiment comes to a quiet end.
But, they’ll show us, they’ll add another 8 BB schools to the monstrosity of a conference (pitting historical rivals Marquette and South Florida) and then brag about how they “got 10 schools into March Madness”

meh, he’ll be mediocre at best in the pros. He’s the best thing pitt has had during the stache era. The results? One bowl appearance for 0 points.

You know, only the ‘Stache could make Nutt look like an innovative offensive coach.
Nice to see another dolt has lost the only hammer in his tool belt to the NFL.
