I wasn’t saying you shouldn’t be on this site. Sorry if I gave that impression. I was more speaking to your buddies who have been trolling this particular thread all day. Seems like their energy could be better spent writing their congressman to complain about the bcs or something in lieu of trying to wipe the smiles off of Gator faces…

for what it’s worth, I actually like USC – It’s fun to watch them destroy people and I love Pete’s laid back style. It’s refreshing.

…I agree with your two key reasons. This site is gold.

Ole Miss would smoke Oregon St, even with 2 Jaquizz Rogers and his brotha, so Florida is better since the 4 loss team they lost to by 1 point, even at home, beat the shit out of an overrated Big 12 team who was in the top 5 for half the year. Oregon St aint Ole Miss.
Had Ole Miss caught USC when they were sleeping like Oregon St did, it would have been a real beatdown……worse than what they got…..and they got handled…..for whatever reason….and since we are throwing out losses that happened and for some reason are shuffled to the back like it never happened, Alabama would like to forget about Utah. I am swearing off salt, too, especially from Salt Lake.

Amazed to read “Fight On’s” needling was getting to various UF fans and Orson had to come in and assist the lesser-brained-folk. (Good job Fight On).

But, I have to agree that USC ending up No 3 in the AP and No 2 in the Coaches polls was about right. It was still an enjoyable season for me and winning the Rose Bowl was nice. Can’t win ‘em all…unless you’re Hef.

Note to Scot Brantley: Gators 3 NC’s have come in 3 different uniform combinations. white-blue, blue-white and last night’s white-white. I knwo it may be hard for you to believe, but maybe the uniforms don’t actually matter (but then again, the white on white does make them seem faster, especially when plowing into a WR on the opening seires or stealing away with the int. late in the game).

Long live Brantley-isms and his slow-ffoted nephew at QB.

Awaiting the retirment of the HBC banner up top as well.

I’m with ocphil on this one – in light of the beating that Utah put on Alabama, they have the claim to “Team Most Hosed by BCS, 2008 Season.” SC just has to look back at their inability to connect Taylor Mays and Jacquizz Rodgers and think about what might have been.

Also, t-bird @ 95 – 1) SC can’t help the fact that the team ranked #1 got left out of the BCS bowl game, so why not take the AP NC as a consolation prize?; and 2) there’s no doubt in my mind that Auburn would have made it more of a game than Oklahoma, but lawya please.

If USC is so great, why don’t they take 2 bye weeks instead of losing a game they should win running away? You cant tell me that Oregon St. is a contender.
That is the knock on USC, they have dropped one every year for the past 3 years. Its not luck, its called a “trend” or a “bad habit”….maybe even called a “given”(see tOSU in last 3 BCS games, and Oklahoma since Stoops got there), kinda like having a bad one night stand after going thru a bunch of hot chicks, then waking up with fat chick.NTIWKAAT, So I theorize they find a game they think they can hang 50 on, then they go out drankin Friday night til game time. Thats what I can gather, maybe they are playing drunk/hungover at times. Its plausible. Then they sober up and go back to kicking ass, but by that time they are labeled as “talented drunks”……and someone else has stolen ESPN/BCS Voters hearts and spotlight…

No “Fight on”, Florida won the game and celebrate it they should.

Pretty much every year somebody gets screwed over, it’s the nature of the set-up. Even as a USC fan I think Utah is the team that got it the worst this year.

Being a USC fan is like being a Brazil fan in the world cup. You can’t win it all every time, since winning it all takes some luck no matter who you are. But every time you are right in the thick of it and the eventual winners are usually lucky not to have faced you directly.

USC will have pretty much the whole offense that destroyed Penn State back next year. The linebackers will turn over but there are some great ones waiting to step in (Chris Gallipo will be a name you will hear about next year) and there will be a mix of veterans and new players on the DL and in the defensive backfield. If Taylor Mays stays instead of going to the NFL then the defense won’t have much of a drop-off.

USC will be USC next year. If Tebow and Harvin come back, UF and USC might well line up in an epic championship game.
