I have a feeling that had OU scored a couple more times like they would have had their coaches/Bradford not had their heads up their asses, Tebow probably would have pulled it out anyway, but those looked like two pretty evenly matched teams to me.
Also, should Tebow be getting this much credit? He had a couple really nice drives and gets the credit for many of the third down conversions, but he threw two pretty terrible picks and Harvin looked, to me, to be far and away the best player on their offense.

I certainly meant no disrespect saying we should have been playing USC. I was just trying to make FightOn feel better about himself so he’d go away. heheh That was a GREAT game last night! I was impressed with Bradford – the guy kept an amazingly calm demeanor throughout the game, and made fewer mistakes than Timmy – we had to take the turnovers, not just have them handed to us. Thankfully we had Harvin or the game would have been dramatically different imo. And thankfully Tebow showed up in the second half. Complete respect for Sooner nation and Stoopsie (except for the jerk that was yanking on Percy’s leg – that was pretty weak, bro.)

Pretty much every year somebody gets screwed over, it’s the nature of the set-up. Even as a USC fan I think Utah is the team that got it the worst this year.
Being a USC fan is like being a Brazil fan in the world cup. You can’t win it all every time, since winning it all takes some luck no matter who you are. But every time you are right in the thick of it and the eventual winners are usually lucky not to have faced you directly.
USC will have pretty much the whole offense that destroyed Penn State back next year. The linebackers will turn over but there are some great ones waiting to step in (Chris Gallipo will be a name you will hear about next year) and there will be a mix of veterans and new players on the DL and in the defensive backfield. If Taylor Mays stays instead of going to the NFL then the defense won’t have much of a drop-off.
USC will be USC next year. If Tebow and Harvin come back, UF and USC might well line up in an epic championship game.

That is the knock on USC, they have dropped one every year for the past 3 years. I’m with ocphil on this one – in light of the beating that Utah put on Alabama, they have the claim to “Team Most Hosed by BCS, 2008 Season.” SC just has to look back at their inability to connect Taylor Mays and Jacquizz Rodgers and think about what might have been.
Also, t-bird @ 95 – 1) SC can’t help the fact that the team ranked #1 got left out of the BCS bowl game, so why not take the AP NC as a consolation prize?; and 2) there’s no doubt in my mind that Auburn would have made it more of a game than Oklahoma, but lawya please.

Note to Scot Brantley: Gators 3 NC’s have come in 3 different uniform combinations. white-blue, blue-white and last night’s white-white. I knwo it may be hard for you to believe, but maybe the uniforms don’t actually matter (but then again, the white on white does make them seem faster, especially when plowing into a WR on the opening seires or stealing away with the int. late in the game).
