24 HOURS

24 hours to go. My, god: 24 hours.

With reason gone, we have nothing to fuel us but the terror of the night air itself.

Ahhh, the Media Hostility Room. Once did shots with Uncle Verne at the Sun Bowl Hostility Room. (Or at least watched while my dad did. I was 13 at the time.)

Jeebus Orson. It never really hit me how ‘official’ you have become within CFB until that swag clip. I guess the revolution has started. Better watch out our you will have to be responsible for shit.

Did that shirt even have a BCS Championship Game logo on it or did they just pick that up at the nearest Wal-Mart?

And how hard will the “no chearing in the press box rule” be for you?

Orson,

It’s not really swag unless a Nintendo Wii is a goodie. So, does OU worry you, or does Sam Bradford play against weak defenses?

Threadjack / Final Post / Get this off my chest and then go into a coma until USC comes to the Shoe in September DEPT:

Ohio State 4-3 in the BCS. 7 games 3 losses, 2 to the NC.

Michigan 1-3, Notre Dame 0-3, Florida State 1-5, Oklahoma 2-5, and Alabama 0-2, total: 4-18 in the BCS. 5 teams, 22 games, and 4 f’king wins.

The ENTIRE ACC 5-10 in BCS bowl games.

You tell me who should be banned from the BCS!

That. Is. All.

Here’s to us showing up and playing well. Everyone says that we’re the favorite and that no one is giving OU any respect, but everyone is picking OU (Except Vegas).

And if I am this nervous already, no telling what I’ll be like tommorrow night, sickness bag in-hand…

@ 6

why is this dude still on here? how long before osu decides to reallocate funds to a program where there could possibly be a return on investment?

TAFKastOSUB,

Way too much effort for way too little impact. So, I’ll leave you with this until September: [name redacted] is going to win the BigTeleven next year anyway, so rest your purty head.

Based on the fact that neither team really respects the accomplishments or the talents of the other, I am guessing that one team will fall apart when confronted with that punch in the mouth. As a Bulldawg fan, I sincerely hope that for one reason or another, all hell breaks loose, and the BCS actually implodes, like agood silage silo. Should it take Tebow with it, I wouldn’t exactly shed a tear.

TAFKastOSUB,

Um, I think OU is only 2-4 in the BCS, as of 1/7/09, unless you know something we don’t?

Please, please, please tell me your evil future self stole a sports almanac and sent it back in time. And watch out for that truck of manure.

Furburgler – my thought exactly. This kid was absolutely made for the media.

North 2

No, they’re 4-3. They’ve won 3 Fiestas and a Sugar and lost this year’s Fiesta and 2 MNC games.

Sorry about that. I thought you were talking about OSU, not OU. Need to put my contacts in..

by PW on Jan 8, 2009 9:06 AM EST reply actions

the night before last i couldn’t hardly sleep worrying about this game, so last night i just banged my head against a brick wall until i knocked myself out

it was highly effective, and i’m very well rested, thank you very much

now all i’ve got to do is avoid having a pre-game nervous breakdown…

by okiedomer on Jan 8, 2009 10:19 AM EST reply actions

Uh #7?

NO ONE in the media is picking OU.

I’ve read articles that say one of two things:

either this:
1) “Florida fast… OU slow… no defense… Stoops eats babies… OU return game sucks…Tebow made of gold… Florida wins by a lot…”

or this:
2) “OU better than you think… OU offense great… even matchup… Florida D might not be ready… OU has the athletes to win… Florida wins by a lot…”

No one is going to go out on that limb ever again concerning OU.

by CincySooner on Jan 8, 2009 10:36 AM EST reply actions

Judging by that picture, the rumors are true. Tebow likes the ladies, and it don’t matter what time of month it is for them.

by Jesus on Jan 8, 2009 11:31 AM EST reply actions

  1. say what you want about tOSU, but they definitely are making as good a “return on investment” as any team in college sports. You don’t have to like them to realize that.

by OhioDawg on Jan 8, 2009 1:26 PM EST reply actions

Here’s the pithy perspective from OU’s side.

The conclusions are shocking, I know …
