Jesus tap-dancing Christ … listening to Pat Summeral ramble, and blather and, fall asleep, and forget where he is is horrendous. Seriously it reminds me of Andy Griffith’s “And they called it football.” I know it’s cliche but Fox is honest to go awful at covering college football.

Houston's Nutts says:
What gives? All week you’ve had cute posts, previewing bowl games, yet you can’t manage to get something together for one of the most (if not the most) comical coaching matchups all year. Surely you guys aren’t still hungover from New Years.

Woekie says:
1. Will someone send the Madden Cruiser to the Cotton Bowl so John and Pat can have a tearful tete-a-tete to establish the fact that they both need to hang it up?
2. Jeanne Zelasko makes me wish for Pam Ward. At least Baltimore Bitchez know how to operate – Ms. Zelasko likely graduated from Mengele Med School.

Ah, another outstanding effort by LSUFreek in the Rivals’ “sig bet,” department.
I logged on to the Clemson site today to observe the meltdown, and Freek’s work was on many a post.
Griffith’s, “What It Was,” has always been enjoyable. If you are familiar with Kenan Stadium you can figure out exactly where he was at most points in the bit.

Has anyone noticed the red flags with the blue “M” and white stars? They look like Confederate flags that used to be so popular with Ole Miss fans when they’re being waved really fast.

I am familiar with Mr. Griffith’s ties to Chapel Hill, but I always assumed “What it was…” took place in Knoxville. The passion for the game shown is clearly too great for it to have occurred in Chapel Hill.

Honestly, I think FOX has told its entire crew to not take any positions on controversial calls – they’re required to simply say, “Well, I can see why Team X is upset, but I can also see why the referee made that call.”

Did anyone catch Gram Harrell’s play signal a few plays ago. Basically, inserting two of his fingers into a circle of the thumb and forefinger of the other hand repeatedly. I think they adapted that from the signals OU was using against them, but OU was using the whole fist, all game.

Worst celebrity cameo since College Gameday had Kenny Chesney on for the Vandy-Auburn game.
I wonder if they asked Mike Leach if he actually listens to Pat Green before making that character-assassinating statement.

Thanks God, a Cotton Bowl commentariat! I’ve been salivating for a live blog.
In case you didn’t catch the 52 times Pat Summerall said it, Harrell’s “bright.”
@32: I saw that too, and was like, can you even show that on TV?
Plus they keep showing Harrell on the sidelines popping his mouthpiece out. eeew.
Go Rebs!

SEC gal says:
Whew, Rebels dodged a bullet at the end of the half when Harrell ran for it.
I have my windows open (thank you, 70 degree Southern winter days) and I’m sure any minute the guys working on machinery outside are going to come in to make sure I’m not suffering from a seizure or a Tourette’s episode, what with the screaming I’m doing. Of course, they are also related to me (I live on family property) so I’m having to be careful not to scream out “Motherfucker!” when Ole Miss does something dumb.
Thanks God it’s half time. My kingdom for a laptop! But at least I’m getting my exercise running back and forth from living room to office, from TV to computer.
