Anyone else surprised the combined dark auras of Saban and Meyer haven’t opened up at least one portal to the Underworld yet?

David Garrard for Zaxby’s…that explains a lot…

by OrangeGator on Dec 6, 2008 4:11 PM EST reply actions

WOW, did the Gators not look completely cool and confident coming out on to the field? They didn’t look lax and they didn’t look hyped. They looked focused and ready to take care of bitness!

by dAndy on Dec 6, 2008 4:13 PM EST reply actions

To everyone who says we need a playoff, look at the top 4 of BCS. AL and UF are the one and 4 seeds and OU and TX would’ve been 3 and 4. If TX had been invited had been picked over OU we’d have had the first 4 team BCS play off.

by RickMuscles on Dec 6, 2008 4:15 PM EST reply actions

Have you ever tried to explain to a non-northerner exactly what “Zaxby’s” is? It’s not as easy as you’d think

by haybeav on Dec 6, 2008 4:15 PM EST reply actions

My TV blew its final analog tube last night. I rushed to Best Buy this morning and pretty much stole a Sony Bravia unit + home theater for $700, and I got it plugged in in time for Bama-Florida and our favorite crazy uncles.

Ahhhhhhhhh.

by Signal to Noise on Dec 6, 2008 4:16 PM EST reply actions

Kudos to Bama’s #15 for holding on after that hit. WOW.

by A Clean Kick to the Facemask on Dec 6, 2008 4:17 PM EST reply actions

I’m not pyschic or anything, but TD Tebow!!

by dAndy on Dec 6, 2008 4:20 PM EST reply actions

STOOPID!

by dAndy on Dec 6, 2008 4:23 PM EST reply actions

To hell with Florida. Wheezened, leather-backed, drunken cousin-fucking jock-sniffers. Their coach is Satan’s kid brother and their quarterback is a mono-browed God-botherer who, if he actually gets drafted, is going to be a backup guard in the NFL.

by Harris on Dec 6, 2008 4:24 PM EST reply actions

Well, that was difficult….

@ dAndy

Well not exactly ALL Tebow on the TD…

by A Clean Kick to the Facemask on Dec 6, 2008 4:24 PM EST reply actions

To hell with Alabama. Bunch of inbred, panty-sniffing sister-fuckers. Their coach is Satan’s favorite son and their quarterback with the stupid hair is going to forgo the NFL to spend more time playing with his My Little Pony Dolls and cruising family reunions.

by Harris on Dec 6, 2008 4:26 PM EST reply actions

That was exactly the drive we needed to start the game…feeling less nervous now. Of course, beer helps…

by OrangeGator on Dec 6, 2008 4:27 PM EST reply actions

I’ll take it though!

by dAndy on Dec 6, 2008 4:27 PM EST reply actions

And by the way, What The Hell?, a game this big and no Live Blog?!

by A Clean Kick to the Facemask on Dec 6, 2008 4:28 PM EST reply actions

I don’t think Sara Parker Wilson has seen a defense like Florida’s.

by hookem on Dec 6, 2008 4:28 PM EST reply actions

by Holly on Dec 6, 2008 4:37 PM EST reply actions

Zaxby’s = over rated, expensive, and not as good as even KFC, let alone Chic-fil-a, that makes it reputation from a sauce that is just pure salt. And you have to wait. Also oddly, there is not a single one inside the perimeter, which is kinda’ wild.

How’s that for an explanation?

by Brian on Dec 6, 2008 4:39 PM EST reply actions

3 and out by Florida. They are mortal.

@30 I’m sure the view of the plays on your TV – which CBS chooses to show you – are much better than that of the guys on the field.

by marcillac on Dec 6, 2008 4:50 PM EST reply actions

OrangeGator @ 37 – Rick told the Referee before the kickoff. Right after the play ended, the ref threw the flag, announced the USC penalty and TO, then the UCLA TO, saying they would run concurrently. Both were 30 Second TO’s.

There are no shades of 2006 in the Rose Bowl yet, because Kevin Craft is still 100 times worse than Pat Cowan. He’s gonna have to play out of his head like the 2nd half vs. Tennessee to avoid a pick or two.

@OrangeGator – per the NCAA Rules, USC loses one TO per half for the Equipment Violation Penalty. So it will happen right after the 2nd Half Kickoff, and UCLA will call their TO again.

Interesting gesture of the penalty by the ref – right arm behind head.

@ Josh – We’re drunk when this game comes on, so it’s amusing.

@ Orange Gator – Exactly. Wonder if they will clear it up later in the game.

My “Tebow Smash” prediction failed, but he just threw it for 6.

Either Orson’s head just exploded or he’s drank so much he’s already passed out!

Arenas needs to show some better judgment on these kickoff returns…

Harris: Nancy?

by Oops Pow Surprise on Dec 6, 2008 7:16 PM EST reply actions

OPS: Heh. No. Ronnie said it after getting some particularly hard-fought legislative victory. Something to screw over minorities and the poor, no doubt.

Bama – You are the WEAKEST LINK, GOODBYE!

by A Clean Kick to the Facemask on Dec 6, 2008 7:19 PM EST reply actions

Great game… I would take either one of these teams against Oklahoma, since they can both play defense.

Go Gators!!

by baconboy on Dec 6, 2008 7:21 PM EST reply actions

@ Harris: I can’t give the +11 to Ronnie, he won’t be able to use them anyway. So you get them by default.

by Studley on Dec 6, 2008 7:21 PM EST reply actions

And that’ll be all. Keep your strangleable children away from Saban until at least February.

by Oops Pow Surprise on Dec 6, 2008 7:21 PM EST reply actions

Also, does Tebow have some Jebus stuff on his face stickers?

by HOSS on Dec 6, 2008 7:23 PM EST reply actions

That girl feeling her stomach in that shot? Somebody dun got herself in trouble. You think she came to the stadium like that or did Orson’s explosive orgasm do it?

Well, Studley, if you insist.

Thought Tebow always had the Bible verses on his anti-glare strips, looks like something from Phillipians.

Orson, tell me what it’s like to see your team win a hard-fought game with a good opponent. Tell me what it’s like to have team leaders make plays late to power the team to victory.

One more thing to admire about him.

by A Clean Kick to the Facemask on Dec 6, 2008 7:32 PM EST reply actions

All in all, Great game. Definitely lived up to the hype.

Having said that, much respect to the Gators. They were as good as advertised and Tebow should win a second Heisman, especially after the game tonight.

As a Tide fan, I honestly thought we had a chance to win this game, but Florida proved to be the better team. Hopefully they go on to beat down whoever they play in the NCG.

A couple words of warning: Bama is most certainly for real and will be even better next year.

by A Clean Kick to the Facemask on Dec 6, 2008 7:37 PM EST reply actions

I was leaning toward Bradford in my pretend Heisman vote, but the lure of Tebow has won me over.

Uncle Verne is right, if Florida wins the national championship, Tebow’s post Ole Miss statement will go down as one of the top moments in college football history.

Great game Gators….Tebow was just fantastic. the whole team really fires on all cylinders under Meyer.

That said, I am more than happy to go 12-1 and get to the SEC championship game for the first time since 1999. Enjor Gator fans…get drunk at get arrested to your heart’s delight…ya earned it!

Tebow is awesome…carried the Gators on his back tonight.

That being said…as an Alabama fan, fuck y’all :)

I love watching the SEC championship when my team isn’t involved…you just have to root for the best team.

And, they won…so, it’s all good.

I have to ask, then, why is the #1 team in the country the clear underdog going into a game…any game…much less a conference championship?

Doesn’t that, in and of itself, show that there’s something wrong…terribly wrong…with the BCS computers…are they running on Vista, or what?

That was a great game last night and I really enjoyed it. As much as I hate UF, it was a releif that I don’t have to listen a Bamer relate brag on and on all year long. Win, win for me.

I’m just sad that my team didn’t get to celebrate the Georgia Dome’s new Red and Black color scheme with an SEC Championship, but that’s what happens when you aren’t interested in tackling.

Fuck all ya’ll.
