#19 has a good list, I think the only thing I would add to it outside of reiterating my vote for What If would be With Arms Wide Open. I guarantee you that you will feed off the crowds WTF stare as you start this one up and it will propel you to that level of public embarrassment where you lose all notion of self and just start going for it 100%, creating a video for the ages. And it’s a known quantity that could get crowd interaction.

And I can sing What If in public without laughing. I’ve been known to sing it on dates, it’s the only Creed song I have on my Zune (yes I own a Zune and sing in my car on dates. I have zero shame.). I convince stupid people I know that the song is metal. I growl the middle part of it. It’s fun as hell for me. And FWIW, Alter Bridge does have some good stuff going on. Metalingus sounds like the song Creed tried to make the entire time they were together (if you think Creed was actually trying to make good music and just failed at it like I do).

OK – having literally caused up Creed�s first break up via an epic rendition of “Higher” (thank you Karaoke Gods) I will tell you that a possible reunion must be stopped if only to help ensure a third Alter Bridge album.

Personal Note: if you aren�t paying attention to Alter Bridge, you are missing something important.

Here are the Creed options as I see them:

1. My Sacrifice – clearly their most karaokiable song if only because it is possible to get through the song without laughing at the lyrics. May suffer from not being popular enough, but I think people will recognize it soon enough. Key advantage: was WWE�s theme song for one of their PPV events.

2. Higher – If you do this correctly, most of the establishment will be singing along with you by the end and you may also avert the possible Creedrawkolypse caused by their reunion. Key advantage: If done correctly you would be able to tell your grandkids about it.

3. Are you Ready – This song actually is quite rockin’ and my personal fave. You will be the only one that knows the song, so it has that advantage. Anybody who you see singing along is clearly a Creed fan. However, lyrics require counting from 10 to 1 twice….BACKWARDS. Key Advantage: None � contains counting which makes it too difficult for fans of either involved team.

4. What if � As the previous poster indicated this song is nearly rocking. However, I defy you to sing this song in public without laughing at the lyrics. Key Advantage: Simple lyrics will allow for maximum posing.

I believe these to be your options, but would be open to discussion of other songs by Creed. I implore you to do this full-on because a four minute rendition of mumbling is going to get old about 30 seconds in and the crowd will (hopefully) turn on you.

Orson, if I was ever forced into singing Creed, I would for sure go with “What If”. It’s like a Creed loophole, it’s a borderline good song. They tried to get all heavy and cut down on the annoying girly wide vocal range, so you can do the Linkin Park speak-sing-rap-whatevea combo the verses and just say What If? like 30 times at the end. Plus you can wear something Gator Orange as your outfit and claim you were going for the orange shirt that Creed’s frontman wore in the video. Although for the joy of your viewership, I would second the notion you go as Stephen Garcia.
