DEFINITION OF BALLS (OR STUPIDITY): CINCINNATI
From the Bearcats' CSTV site, a piece of nut-grabbing bravado:
Egads, that's awesome, or stupid, or stupidly awesome. We support all three on this website, so you go on with your foolish badassness, Bearcats. You don't have to play the Buckeyes until 2012, so woof on all you like.

Lane Kiffin wants to know what the big deal is?
We have to make Cincy-UT happen and call it the Knucklehead Bowl (assuming Les Miles will be unemployed by then).

The only thing is that Ohio will likely have TWO teams in the BCS now that Oregon State won’t be going to the Rose Bowl (unless USC blows it against Team “Who’s That Girl?”). The Sugar Bowl would certainly rather have the Buck-ayes than Boise State and the Fiesta will likely be a Big 12 team vs. Utah.

Lameness abounds that they cant select Texas Tech at large, though I suppose the cotton bowl is still a high quality bowl if that’s where they end up.

Snap, motherfuckers! Unlike Lou Grant, I like their spunk (but not in the jizz sort of way). Makes me wanna get a pet bearcat.

The SEC having a down year + the #4 pick of the SEC’s teams reduces the Cotton’s quality.
I’d rather play OSU, but the Fiesta doesn’t have the balls to pick us over UT.

The Big East is nothing if not bizarrely entertaining! Better UC then, say, WVU or UL, I think. Keeps the conference on its toes.

What you call balls is actually the Giggity. Prepare to be done…again.

Wow, we have powers. They backed down and pulled it.

My solution to the Texas Tech problem: Have the highest-paying non-BCS bowl (right now, the Capital One) pick any two team in the BCS top 16 who aren’t playing in the BCS.
They’d probably go with Texas Tech vs. Georgia, which would be a fun game to watch.

For pure entertainment value this year’s Cincy team is hard to beat. They love to sling it on offense and their D routinely lays people out.

Everytime this little graphic came up on Saturday via the scoreboard, my stomach twisted in knots. I thought that it would’ve been the last time I went to the Nip to see a game were I not so confident that Oregon State would lose and that it is still, and will always be Cincinnati.

In today’s Enquirer (local newspaper) Brian Kelly said he’ll be at UC “into the future” (hmmm) unless Obama asks him to be ambassador to Ireland.
It’s been a long time coming. Wait, it’s never really been here at all, but with the worst team in pro football, and some of the best high school football in the country, there’s reason to believe that the Bearcats can be a contendah on the same lines as WVa and Louisville.

Former Bearcat player Urban Meyer approves of this message.
by zzgator on Dec 3, 2008 9:20 AM EST reply actions
Is that the same Urban Meyer who has a picture of Woody Hayes in his living room??
Most folks acknowledge there are one or two jobs Meyer would (maybe) leave UF for, one of which is in Ohio. Let me give you a hint, it isn’t Cincinnati.

HA! One good season and the ’Cats fans are talking crap.
Lets keep in mind….selection Sunday is a few days away and there are only, what 5-6 GUARANTEED spots?
As NBCSports and FoxSports are predicting, it’ll be Texas vs OSU in the Fiesta bowl… So much for ’Cats fans mojo.
AND… they had to nut up and join a “real” conference to even be mentioned in the BCS hunt.
The ’Cats are like that annoying little brother that you beat the crap out of all your childhood, one time they sucker punch you when your not looking and they think they are “even”.
I think they still are living in the 60’s when UC beat OSU in basketball!

For those of you outside of Ohio, check out #19 and you’ll know why people say tOSU fans are the worst.
Yeah, it’s a stupid piece on the website, but lighten up.
To extend the brother analogy, tOSU is like that big brother who picks on his little brother and then gets the living shit kicked out of him (see the most recent BCS beatdowns) when he gets into a fair fight.
by OhioDawg on Dec 3, 2008 10:59 AM EST reply actions
The brother analogy is not accurate. Cincinnati isn’t even related to tOSU. They’re more like the creepy single guy that lives in that one tiny apartment building on a street of family homes. The place your parents made you steer clear of. Like on trick-or-treat when they made you cross the street even tho the next door neighbor had full size paydays.

Wow! If Cincy wants to poke a stick in the big bear’s eye, that’s their choice. Just don’t start whining when you get mauled.
By the way Cincy and OSU really aren’t brothers. Seeing as UC was only taken into the state university system in the 70’s to keep it from going bankrupt, they’re more like the homeless cousin living in the garage because the family felt sorry for him.

if OSU fan is so upset about this than come play us in Cincinnati. OSU payed Cincinnati more than a million dollars to move the 2012 game from Cincy to Columbus.

We already played you in Cincy. Can you remind me how that turned out? Oh right….you lost!
by bucknut on Dec 3, 2008 2:43 PM EST reply actions
Uh…where did anyone suggest Urban Meyer would coach Cinci? Damn you nuts are sensitive. Can the man support his alma mater? Sheesh.

@ #16 — how dare you try to stake claim to the worst team in the NFL. last i checked our lions haven’t won this year (nor a championship since 1957)
by tcblue on Dec 3, 2008 3:31 PM EST reply actions
I think Moeller, Elder, Colerain and/or St. X can beat UC.
They definitely outdraw them.

Didn’t tOSU need an interception in the end zone to stave off a Cincy team that was much worse than they are now? And wasn’t that tOSU’s national championship year?
Ah, selective detail.

isn’t this ad a little moot since both Cinny and OSU are in the BCS?
