WEEKEND: FIN
65-21 and Bob Stoops is riding his invisible roller coaster all the way to Bedlam. Oklahoma could have made the scorers use colors to denote what they were doing, if they had really dropped the hammer. We think a final of "Periwinkle-three to 21" would have been fascinating.

Were I a Longhorn fan, I’m not sure what situation would piss me off more:
1) Winning the Red River Shootout but getting passed over in favor of Oklahoma for the Big-12 CG by the voters.
or
2) Going 11-1 with a last second road loss, but watching the B12CG at home because your hated rival loses to Oklahoma State. I mean, what’s the point of schadenfreude if if screws your team out of a National Title shot?

It’s the proudest of pirate traditions: a severe pounding of the ass.

Congratulations to Myron Rolle for receiving 1 of 32 Rhodes Scholarships awarded within the U.S. this year.
I did some research on the Rhodes Scholarship and discovered that the Rhodes Scholarship is named after Cecil Rhodes, a British mining tycoon and statesman with a very interesting story. He was famous for his many ideas on colonialism and one of his most notorious quotes is as follows:
We must find new lands from which we can easily obtain raw materials and at the same time exploit the cheap slave labor that is available from the natives of the colonies. The colonies would also provide a dumping ground for the surplus goods produced in our factories.
We certainly are in a new age of tolerance, aren’t we?

SO…
Where’s the outrage that Oklahoma left their starting QB and others in the entire game?
The claims that they are poorly coached because he could have gotten hurt?
The announcers didn’t even mention this last night….

Ok, so what did we learn this weekend, kids. The Big 12 refuses to play D and even the faint aroma of something defensive can shut down their mighty offenses…SECCG=NC

@pick6bamr
Really? Cause it doesn’t seem like Oklahoma’s offense had all that much trouble scoring points. Their worst output of the season was a mere 35 against Texas, who, btw, rolled up 45 against the same defense that just obliterated Tech.
I’m assuming you’re a Bama fan. Good luck when you finally play a team like Florida that actually has an offense. Then we’ll see just how great your awesome SEC defesnse is.
